Cracked screen

Hey! Did you guys change the digitizer by yourself?
Is it a easy task? I mean, isn't there a risk in changing it ourself?
I too, have a 720 with cracked screen using since 2 months now. What is the best solution? Nokia Care( demanding ? the price of phone), outside service or ourselves?

I did it myself but you need the correct tools (torx screwdriver, wedge, tweezers, etc.). You also have to be patient when unplugging and removing things (I damaged the ear piece on my initial try and had to order another one before completing it). YouTube has videos that you can use when doing it along with some other websites if you Bing search it. Make sure to get the entire LCD and digitizer not just the $20 digitizer (check eBay, should be around $70 now). Removing or replacing a digitizer looks like more trouble than its worth.
