credit card charge

Had a quick question.
I ordered my 950xl on 11/17 with a ship date by 12/11. I noticed my credit card was charged today, does that mean it will ship soon. I have not received a shipping confirmation email as of yet.

Both my Surface Book and 950XL hit my credit card a day before it actually shipped, so it should be soon.

Mine was charged 10 days ago. Still not shipped yet.

EDIT: The previous transaction was disappeared. The new transaction has been made today.

Mine was charged last night as well. Here is what I was told via chat. I brought up that MS Store policy has always been not to charge pre-orders till ready to ship. Here is what I was told:

"Thank you Jeffrey. Lumia 950 XL are expected to be release on Dec. 11 and we are starting to charge the actual transaction as soon as today as a preparation for the shipment."

"Package might be ship on or before Dec. 11. Yes you are correct with that. However, for pre orders, we are doing the charges a head of time because for most cases, charges are being denied by financial institution wherein we're giving enough time for others to update payment method and settle payments."
