Anyone else having an issue with their kick stand creeping?? What I am talking about is when I tilt the screen back and sit I down, I come back an hour or two later and it has moved all the way down to its max position. I just noticed it today.

Hmm interesting. I have not noticed this at all. Does it still take some force to move your kickstand? My kickstand still feels pretty firm and requires force to move. I'm curious to know what angle the kickstand is at. If you could provide an image of the angle or maybe the degree of the angle? I'll try this tonight and see if my kickstand gives way.

Another theory someone is just trying out your Surface's awesome kickstand! :) lol.

Mine is firm as well but does have a small amount of wiggle in it. I will do more scientific testing tomorrow.

I was just about to post the same thing! The kickstand on mine is already getting loose when I move it past a point close to the max. I can see how it can creep like what you are describing soon. This is not good at all. :unhappy: Let me try to post a video of it.

Ah, I had a hunch that was the angle. If you look at the hinges on the Surface. There is a point to where the hinge pulls out. Watch the hinge closely and you will see what I am talking about. When it gets to this point it slides out the rest of the way. So I guess it has managed to come loose a lot sooner than expected causing the kickstand to open up all the way without being touched.

If this is a major issue for you guys I would definitely give Microsoft a call. You have 1 year warranty. And this should be covered. I haven't ran into this issue yet. And i'm not sure if I will use an angle between the point where it begins to fall and stops falling. But only time will tell.
