Curious about everyones opinion onHP Envy/Split X2

Rootling around Best Buy today, I came across this

Now, I really want a Surface Pro but seeing the Split/Envy, I don't know now.

I had a little play around, the one in BB comes with 8GB/256GB SSD for approx $ 100 less than the SP 3 with 4GB/128GB SSD.

It is a nice looking piece of kit, the only minus I could find at the time is that the tablet seems to weight a lot more than the SP 3. The SP 3 felt extremely light. Maybe it is because the SP 3 is a tad bit smaller than the Split/Envy as well and more balanced?

And from the reviews that I can find, the Split/Envy owners are enjoying their tablets.

What is the general feel about the Split/Envy?

I've never owned one, so I can only speculate.

Judging by the pictures though it looks ginormous for a tablet. Detachables shouldn't be bigger than 11.6 inches in my opinion (this allows for a full sized keyboard). The Surface Pro 3 works better as a wannabe-laptop than a tablet in this regard. I do prefer the detachable form factor over the Surface's form factor though.
