Curious difference between two L925's

I love my Lumia 925, fantastic phone. I recently got one for my wife which she also loves - finally got her away from her cheap and nasty Android handset.

There is a difference I have noticed between the two though, and that is when hers transmits or receives data, tiny arrows flash around the data icon at the top indicating incoming or outgoing data. Mine does not do this. They are both fully up to date with the latest version of WP8.1. Is this a setting somewhere that I haven't found yet, or is it a firmware difference?

The only difference as far as I can tell is that mine is locked to Three UK and hers is locked to Orange/EE UK.

If anyone can shed any light on this, I'd be grateful. Can't have the wife having a better phone than me :)

Thanks.

It could actually be a firmware difference, I've heard of some L925's with the Cyan update getting that feature. Check to see if there's a firmware difference, please. :)

Sure enough, there is a difference in the firmware revision. Mine is 3051.40000.1345.1005 and my wife's phone is running 3051.40000.1345.1011

Is there a way to get this firmware on mine, or it is likely to carrier specific?

We're both running Black btw, no sign of Cyan in the UK yet.

You could download the Nokia Software Recovery tool and see if it offers you anything newer. It will wipe your phone if you let it install anything, though.

Thanks, but installing the developer preview of WP8.1 was about as far as I would want to go. I can live without the feature, but it'd be nice to have it if it was a quick and easy fix...

It's a firmware thing, Developer Preview is the OS. :) So when Cyan gets pushed down, you'll probably get it too.
