Cyan and 8.1 installed but still no Cortana?

Hey all,

I have (well my wife has), a Lumia 820, Cyan is installed and win 8.1 but still no Cortana. I also have a 720 to the same software level and this has Cortana and is running fine. The 820 is on Talkmobile (UK), the 720 is on Vodafone (UK) but not sure that is affecting anything. I've swapped my Voda SIM into the 820 and tried updating but with no result.

Does anybody have any ideas what the issue may be?

I think you need to change your region to US and language settings as well.
Not sure if Cortana is available to UK in cyan

Cortana in UK comes with 8.1.1 DP for 820.
Have 820 (EE/Virgin/T-Mobile) with Cortana and desktop folders.

There are several things that determine if you have Cortana in the UK
If you have preview for developers installed, yes
If you have changed the region, language, to US, yes
If your phone has received update 1 to the OS and Denim, yes
If your OS, listed in settings, about, more info, is one of these you have the update.

Changing the sim will not bring an update. Your phone update is determined by the carrier you purchased it from.
