Data use on 8.1

Hi. Does anybody else have a data use problem since updating to 8.1. I have a lumia 625. And my data use is going alot quicker. Can anybody suggest why

How many apps to do you have running in the background? Have you shut any of them off?

If you think your data is draining faster, switch off the background apps, turn off live tiles if not needed, use your phone in battery saver mode

I've shut the background apps off I don't need

Do you have Cortana?
