dates are all americanised ??

I am in the uk . Have downloaded to windows 10 but all dates on clock , email etc are American ie today it is the - 11/8/2015 but it shows 8/11/2015 , which is rather confusing if you are this side of the pond. I have it in English , bottom right of screen , so am confused . any help would be appreciated.

Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time > Change date and times format
