So last time dst happened, I think all the calendar event times were off. This time, according to my wife, some things are still the right time and others have been set back an hour.

So if an appointment was for 8 on Friday, the wrong ones now say 7.

Anyone know why or how it works?

I think she said SOME calendars seemed ok and others were not.

What device do you have?

What country do you reside in?

What carrier do you have?

My calendar successfully synced with the proper dates/times for US EST.

Nokia 928.
USA
Verizon

As far as I know, MY schedules worked fine. (our phones, etc. are the same)

One other thing I must add, in my settings I do not have time and date set to automatic. It keep changing by itself to some other time zone, thinking this may be a Verizon problem, so I have it set to eastern standard time.

I got the same problem too. some appointments are 2 hrs earlier since the time changed over.
My work is using google calendar, so using my phone to sync with google always seemed to have a different time zone problem which I am not why yet.

Are you using google?

Okay, it is that time of year and things were screwed up AGAIN. This time, I was able to look at an interesting part of the calendar event through the Windows Live Calendar web app. When opening the event and selecting "View details", it revealed that the events created that were wrong had UTC 5 for Bogota rather than UTC 5 US Eastern. (not that exact wording).

So I went through my wife's appointments, one by one, to see if the time it was scheduled was different than the time the calendar showed and looked at the Time Zone setting. All the bad ones had Bogota time zone. I'm not sure where that came from and I can't reproduce the problem at the moment, but that was the source of the "wrong time" calendar entries.

It may be interesting to note that I could ONLY find a place to LOOK at the time zone setting for the event through the web calendar interface. I couldn't see that setting in the phone or the Surface 2 calendar apps. Maybe I missed it somewhere.

I also verified that the PHONE had the correct time zone because my wife said she created almost all the events on the phone.

We'll see if it happens again this fall.

I was born in southern Indiana and live in Arizona, so what is this daylight savings time of which you speak?

I'm seeing same or similar issue. In family room all of my wife's appointments are off by an hour but all others are OK. They were entered using phone. We all have same phone and carrier but I don't find any settings difference that would explain the problem. Only difference is that her MS account is .hotmail domain.

Seeing the issue here as well. Used phone and my live/hotmail account for the appointment creation, now as of today the times are off by 1 hour. Ugh

have a friend with the same issue. The difference is that I sync all my outlook calendar with my corp Exchange server so not seeing any daylight savings adjustment issues.
his 928, he doesn't sync with any calendar service, just on the device itself and all is appointments are an hour off now.
both of use are on Verizon L928s with Black

Thank you mtiede, I had exactly the same problem with my calendar entries, and found exactly the same time zone error buried in the settings of each defective event. On my phone the time zone is set to automatic, and says that it is working off of UTC-5 for Eastern US & Canada like it should be, but I am going to set it to manual, force the correct time zone, and see what happens in the fall. This was a good catch on your part, glad I stumbled across this thread sooner rather than later.

I had the same issue. Some of the calendar events were synced with the new time, some were not. The ones which didn't sync were reoccurring events.
I'm glad to report that i finally managed to solve this issue!

To fix it follow these steps:
1. On your Win phone long-press the calendar event and tap "edit"
2. select "all" (for reoccurring events)
3. Tap "more details" in the bottom
4. Change "occurs" to: "once"
5. Save and close
6. On your PC track the meeting on Outlook. It will appear as a one-time event on the first day it started.
7. Change the recurrence to weekly and click "save&close".
8. Once synced, the meeting will appear on your phone with the correct time.

Hope it helped :)
