Dealbreaker?

The only deal breaker for me right now is just money. Being a student, I have little money to buy a $1000 dollar laptop right now...

I was concerned that it only went up to 4 gig of ram but i found out that's only with some colors. So my concerns are zilch.

My concerns are processing power, if I get the blue option, it won't suit my needs, but if I get the silver top tier, then all I really care about is the color. Or also depends on whatever option they are giving away.

I (as a student) have two.

#1 : No USB-C. Even if I ignored "futureproofing", I want to charge all my portable devices with a single charger / cable. On top of that, not being able to charge from a powerbank limits the potential of a device. (I currently have the Surface Pro 4 and it died on me during longer days with lectures / labs throughout the entire day). Ideally, I would have liked to see Thunderbolt 3 with eGPU support, given I edit home / YouTube videos.

#2 : No "real" pen support. I need to take hand-written notes / diagrams / sketches. Not being able to do these defeats the purpose of a portable device for me. I don't know why Microsoft didn't opt for a "Yoga-style hinge". That would have kept the slim and elegant profile, while retaining the 2-in-1 feature without any compromise on the laptop part...
