I live in Canada and purchased the ATT version of the 1520. Is it possible to debrand it so that I can use Internet sharing? The phone is locked but I'm having it unlocked.

I don't know for sure but if your carrier supports Internet Sharing, I would expect it to work if your phone is unlocked. I use it with AT&T just fine on my AT&T branded 1520. It's only if you have an older pricing plan that does not include it (such as old unlimited data plans) it will be disabled.

The AT&T 1520 seems to work with internet sharing on other carriers. I have an unlocked AT&T 1520 on T-Mobile and my internet sharing works. Unless Koodo has proprietary internet sharing I don't see any reason it wouldn't work.
