As per title, does anyone know if there's a way to get rid of the Mobile Uploads folder, under photo albums? It's appeared since I installed Sky Drive.

Log into Skydrive( www.skydrive.com) on a PC and delete it.

I have two Sky Drive folders under my albums on my phone: Mobile Downloads and Camera Roll. The Mobile Downloads appeared after I installed the Sky Drive app and signed in with my normal Yahoo email, the Camera Roll was there since I took my first photo on my phone, and I presume is linked to the Microsoft email that I had to setup in order to set the phone up.

I just did what you suggested; logged in to the Sky Drive website on my laptop with both emails, and deleted all the folders from both of them. However, the folders still appear in the Albums section on my phone (I've turned it off and on again), and the only difference is that they now say 'We can't update albums at the moment' above the photos.

Any more ideas on how to get rid of them?

Thanks

I thought Mobile Downloads is where the phone sticks your images if you manually send your photos to Skydrive. Sky Drive Camera Roll is where they end up if you turn on the auto-push to SkyDrive feature. No ideas on how to undo them.

Hmmmm, I thought they'll disappear when you delete them; that means the phone somehow creates them and syncs to the skydrive website.

The only way to get these folders out is a hard reset since you can never delete them on the phone just like that BUT I haven't tried it before and not 100% sure, secondly I don't think you are ready for that.
After the reset, both files wouldn't be there till you take a picture or install the skydrive app as you said earlier.....UNLESS the whole thing is from Microsoft where both automatically appear when you log in.

I haven't really tried it so I can't guarantee it , but I think there will be no syncing since the website folders aren't there so maybe they'll not appear after the reset.....just maybe! They can be part of the OS you know and maybe you can reach out to microsoft support team on their website or the skydrive team on twitter.

Hope it helps.
