I think what he is saying is with only 1usb then you can't do both retrieve from USB and have an Ethernet connection.

The XPS 12 is not a tablet, its a convertible laptop. I have both a Dell XPS 12 as well as a Lenovo Tablet 2 and use them for completely different things. The Dell XPS 12 is too heavy and does not have the battery life to be a tablet replacement, and the Lenovo Tablet 2 does not have the processor to be a laptop replacement. Together though they work very well.

Comparing the XPS 12's to tablets is an apples to oranges comparison, they just aren't similar. A better comparison is XPS 12 vs. touchscreen ultrabooks.

Basically are you saying there's tablets and then there's laptops you can't find one that does both as they were intended.

I have a MacBook Pro and an iPad and am looking for a replacement to the Windows Eco system for both, I have been looking at the surface pro t replace and merge both the iPad and MacBook but every time I thing about it it just doesn't feel right. Am I looking at it the wrong way should I keep the iPad and then just replace my MacBook?
