If your Lumia model and carrier is available for Denim then just disable the Developer preview (untick the box in the app) and then check for updates.
You can always re-enable the developer preview afterwards.

But it will be available whenever it is available to non-Preview variants of your phone. (the Preview phones aren't too special)

I have gotten the message that Denim is ready to go for my 1520.
This is an unlocked Latin America version.
Tried the phone update - nothing
disabled the Developer Preview
Tried the phone update - nothing
Rebooted
Tried the phone update - nothing

is the message that Denim ready a lie?

Anything else I can try?

Disable the developer preview will help to get the denim update but only if denim is released.
In below list you can find your country and phone. I checked this list and there is no country in Latin America where denim is released, yet, for the 1520.. (please double check)

But denim will come but only Microsoft or carriers know when it will be released.

I know about the list and I did not see it. Not sure how I got the message about denim.
I had to make a phone call and did not have time to install it at that moment when I got the notice.
Lost opportunity.
