Details of Apps Update

I am sorry if this has been discussed before but every time I see there are new updates in the marketplace I can never figure what is new in that update.

Some apps are helpful and display what has been changed/added when you launch the app. Is that the only way?

It's completely up to the developer to include what is new and/or changed. MS does not have a policy enforcing devs to include this information when the release their app updates to the AppHub. They really should have this enforcement policy.
