dGPU Benchmark

Curious if anyone has done any Benchmarks to test the dGPU? I realize the intent of this machine is not for gaming, but would like to know how it fairs when running GPU demanding games. The most GPU demanding game I play is Company of Heroes 2 and I know it will only run at ~30fps on a GTX970M. I'm not expecting the same performance, but hoping it's somewhere in the ballpark.

According to Cnet, the dGPU looks to run about the same as the GeForce 940M, so now, this isn't going to run as well as the 970M. other reviews I have read say it's a serviceable machine for games, but you'll be lowering resolutions and frame rates. I don't enough about the game you referenced to tell you whether that fits the bill for you....but this is not a gaming machine, even if it's a lot better than integrated graphics.

Thanks for the feedback guys. 940M is a good point of comparison. Initial speculation was that it was a 960M or very close to that. I'd like to have something with enough graphics power to game, but still be portable. I also like the Surface Dock setup and being able to run a large desktop monitor and have more of a desktop like experience when docked. Currently sharing with my wife a 5 year old Samsung 17.3" laptop w/ I7, GT540M, 8GB ram and it's serviceable, but looking at upgrading to something new...

Keep in mind if you run your games at 1336x768 resolution just about anything will run at 60fps. I have played Skyrim, GTA V, Mass effect 1,2,3, BF3, and Borderlands 2 all at 60fps. Smooth perfect gameplay with no throttling or hickups. Games look just fine at that resolution and does not make them any less playable. Some games you can go higher res but as long as you keep in mind that if you run it around 1400x900 range there is almost nothing you can't play and have fun. PERIOD.

Also I am running the i7 8gb ram 256gb storage and dGpu. Loving the system so far. Luckily my issues have not been as bad as some others. The system runs great.
