Did anyone have to download another update to get Windows Phone 8.1?

For the past three days I have been checking my phone for updates, and then today I saw that The Developer Preview was released. I checked my phone for updates, and I got a new ownload, but guess what it was some 8.0.x.x.x.x.x.x.x.x. update that was supposed to prepare my phone for Windows Phone 8.1... I'm on a Nokia Lumia 822, did anyone else have a similar issue? I am now waiting for this first thing to migrate data, and hopefully 8.1 is there. :eck:

Both my wife's (Lumia 920) and my (Lumia 1520) phones did a small update when first receiving the update. It does take a few minutes, but if you check for updates right after that one completes, you'll find the next update is the one you've been waiting for!

Yay!! Thanks guys, unfortunately its still on 40% of Step 1 in migrating data, but luckily that's the longest part.

Yup.

I thought that if I needed that update it would have told me several days ago.

Then again, I just barely registered my device as a dev unit on Friday afternoon. Then on Saturday night I forgot my phone as my sister's house and I didn't get it back until this morning.

Yea first update was small and iirc ended in .166

The next update was much bigger and contained the 8,1 update

Both take quite a long time to complete and both seem like they are stuck at certain points, just be patient
