my company has started to digitally sign some of the email on a test basis and when that message comes across to my Lumia 928, the messages states this message type is not supported by current version of windows phone.

Lumia 928 is updated to GDR3 with Black

what can I do to get these emails to be available on the Lumia 928 and other WP8 devices?

Thanks.

This isn't available on Windows 8.1 so I highly doubt you can have it on Windows Phone 8 or 8.1 either.

Well if not available on windows 8.1 or Windows phone 8.1, I will be forced to move to something that supports digitally signed emails. Really hate to give up on WP but its a requirement of my work coming end of the year

Have you checked with your IT department to see if there is an email client they recommend? Or an official device compatibility list to use your company e-mail on your phone? I ask because I get global emails to remind Exchange users to NOT upgrade to the latest version of IOS on their iPhones because of some compatibility issue that they need to iron out on the email server side, then get emails saying it's now ok to install...

I am the only one on windows phone in our company. They seem to push droids on everyone thinking that Droid is better and more capable than iOS or Windows Phone.
I am not sure if iOS and Droid have the same issues or not or if the current testing is with just a local certificate (not sire if that makes a difference with WP or not).
