Has someone managed to definitely disable Windows Defender?

Every time I disable Real Time Protection on Security settings, it activates automatically every time I boot up.

Here's how:

(note - on this forum I've not enough posts to post a link!!!)

In Win 10 Defender is designed to turn back on defying the option as you've noted. Hmm.
Of course, installing a decent security solution should also disable it.

Note- it may be responsible for unwarranted highish CPU use.

It worked! Thanks guys! 👍

That was really annoying, I had to disable Windows Defender every time I started Windows. I also used a 3rd party program that deleted Defender, but was restored when I checked for updates.
