Disc defragmentation

My disc defragmenter tells me that the 'system' is 100% fragmented and needs optimization. When clicking on 'optimize' it starts to analyze then immediately drops out leaving it with the '100% fragmented' notation again.
Disc (C, Recovery (D and HP_Tools (G all optimize without problems 'tho Disc(C can sometimes be very slow.
Help ! How can I defragment the 'System'

If all your disks are defragmented, then what exactly is fragmented?

Hi The only drive that you need to worry about is your C drive. Are you using a 3rd party defrag program?? I personally use the defrag tool provided by windows.
This is what you should see if you use the windows tool! It can be set up to run on a schedule and you won't have to worry about it.

May be there is not enough contiguous free space to complete the defragmentation. Free up some space and try again.
