Discussion: What could the dropping (pre-)order prices in EuroZone mean?

Hi all, just wanted to start a discussion about the recent price drops for the 950/XL in the Euro zone:

Lumia 950 and 950 XL get a price drop in the UK
and
Deal Alert: Now Amazon France also drops the price of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL - WMPoweruser

As just a point of conversation: What, if anything can we make of these price cuts? Does this mean that the pre-order numbers aren't moving fast enough? Do you think this might mean that a cut will come for NA from it's current $549/$649 pre-order price?

I'm thinking that if the price is already being cut, it's likely that these phones could see deep cuts by the holidays if they aren't selling in the numbers they want them to.

I would say it was either the wrong price posted to begin with, or maybe they've removed a planned bundle.
