Hey there!

Lumia 950 have a superb camera, however, build-in processing algorithm overdo, as for me, with sharpening and noise reduction. So the DNG way is obvious. When taking photo with Rich Capture phone creates 2-3 DNG per shot, while without this option there is only one DNG per shot. So that's why I'm here to ask you to share your experiences and opinions on when and where Rich Capture is preferred to use and may get better result in post-processing.

Thanks!

Thank you for videos - quite interesting:) I'm also doing DNG+JPG shoots, because DNG are more flexible to edit and have better quality. JPGs are too juicy, over-sharpened with funny 72ppi. Here is the comparison between JPG and slightly adjusted DNG converted to JPG:

But overall the question was about the worth of using Rich Capture (RC) with DNG. In low light environments RC creates DNGs that could have not the same quality as DNG without RC have.

I agree. Sometimes rich capture doesn't kick in.

Here is a new thread where a forum member RobotX created a color profile for Lumia 950 XL DS using X-Rite color chart. I've modified his profile to support all existing Lumia 950s.
