Do any Windows Phones have a decently fast camera?!?

I am frustrated by the slowness of my Lumia 1020 camera. I miss most of the candid moments because it takes so long for the camera to load, and so long between shots. In WPCentral's review of the Lumia 830 Daniel said that the phone was faster but still takes 2 seconds between shots!

I've seen others' iPhones and they take pictures as fast as you can tap the screen! All this talk of Lumias having great cameras is not really true; a camera that is slow and misses the shots you want to take is not good no matter what the picture quality is.

Have any of the Windows phones had a fast camera? Why doesn't Nokia use imaging chips like most other manufacturers?

HTC One M8 foe windows is fast. Not as good a camera ad Lumia though. Fast but no dedicated button.

Same problem with my 925. Very frustrating. When it works it works well, but even then it often takes a couple or more goes to get an acceptable shot.

You forget that the 830 doesn't have the new "Lumia Camera" app. That's the updated camera app that brings faster shot to shot times, etc.

I think you have to give apple credit for producing a phone that works as mobile people on the go do...not photographers. The idea of manually playing around with this setting and that or waiting for the camera to focus... is ridiculous on a phone. The best shots are the ones you don't expect to take. The moment arrives and then its gone. You want to screw around getting the perfect professional picture...buy a camera.

is odd in my phone a nokia lumia 820 is fast takes just 2 seconds the recycling time but with the default camera app of windows phone the nokia pro camera is extremelly slow in open and in the recycling time here the times that get of recycling time between shots with the phone

the Nokia lumia 820 is the same in technical characteristics excepting the optical image stabilizer which the Nokia lumia 820 do not have any stabilization

I take pretty fast pictures with my Lumia 1520 but I use the default camera app and not Nokia Camera.

The 822 with default camera is very fast and high enough quality
