how does skype work on tv in the first place? I'm honestly curious - do you connect the pc via hmdi or something else?

I've used Skype on my TV and am disappointed that they're doing away with support for it.

The TV is an LG with the Skype app built into it. I then have an HDMI camera hooked into it so we can conduct Skype calls with long distance family members from our living room with the entire family - not just a single mobile device wih people crowded around it.

It worked great but once again MS is killing something unique to its platform.
