Have you went to the Microsoft store and got good help with a phone that was no longer in warranty?
Moved to more appropriate area... Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems more general than immediate need, yes?
I don't really see why they won't repair or replace a damaged device for a likely hefty fee. It'll probably vary depending on location, who's working there, etc.
I wasn't exactly speaking of getting a repair from damage. I was speaking more along the lines of defect, such as a 1520 that is all of a sudden having ghost taps, or an ICON with a camera that wont turn on, 830 with an in & out speaker, etc.
I'd like to know as well, have a 1020 with bad USB port. Was going to throw it out.
