Do the pen and eraser work well if I put a screen protector on the screen?

Ugh screen protectors are like car bras.... don't do it. The Surface is not going in your pocket! Why ruin the best screen on any tablet ever?

That's actually not a bad idea. I don't think there's a big coherence though between naked screen and clear protector quality wise...

Although with the keyboard and it being covered when not used maybe I can keep it scratch free.

I had my nexus 10 without protection but a flip case and it was perfect for two years. Hmmmm.

My SP is always with me when I go to work, so I throw it in my bag. I'm sure dust and sand or particles from other things get caught up in it, so I'd rather pay the 1 dollar and feel piece of mind about my 1,200 dollar device than take the chance xD haha. I do the same for my phone. I don't mind scratches on the frame or body, but the screen is the part I look at MOST! If there is a line going down it, it's ruined for me... I like a pristine image :) hehe. So it's not ruining it, it's actually keeping it the best screen! :D

Disagree , it is not optically the same and actually scratches easier. get a proper case instead of "throwing in a bag" and you won't need a screen protector that diminishes the quality of the screen which is amazing.

I really don't understand why anyone would put a screen protector on this screen its wrong. Phone I get this not.

umm...ok... Lol. You're definitely allowed your opinion but I've never had a device in my life scratch with a screen protector on. So you do what works best for you! I'll spend my 1 euro on the pack and have my device be scratch free and keep it's resale value high.
