Windows Central Question

I recently bought a Surface Pro 7 and am wondering - since I have had to reinstall several times already for reasons I won't go into in detail here, whether purchasing backup software like e.g. Acronis True Image, is possible or not? And if you do use backup software what do you suggest?

Thanking you

I do create the occasional system image just in case. Technically the feature has been depreciated but it still works (and is free). WC has some details on how to create one.

At work I've used Clonezilla to create backups and while it's very good, it's not the most straight forward of processes.

I found that, compared to a machine from Dell, Lenovo etc., restoring a Surface completely via Windows is actually a quite quick and painless task. I was able to restore and be back up and running within an hour, no imaging tools needed. I just kept the setup executables for all my apps on an external hard drive and ran them all once the initial recovery was completed. To answer your question, any of the well known backup programs should work fine for what you need, such as Acronis you mentioned, or Easeus.
