Does Denim firmware fix time keeping problem?

On my lumia 635 with no sim card the time goes out of sync, does the denim firmware fix this problem?

All computers lose time (or drift), however MS gave the ability in to use NTP instead (I believe it came with GDR1), however this isn't automatic and requires you to deselect "Set Timezone automatically" and manually set your timezone under date+time.

I assume the phone is still using WiFi instead of a mobile connection...
