I am very eager to know that when will the windows update (perhaps DP) will arrive for phone's..... I've heard that its coming in April but is it true??

i heard late next year like near the end more like novish. but couldnt tell ya if it true or not.

Nobody knows (outside Redmond, of course). People can speculate (and can often be accurate), but as for actual knowledge, all anybody knows is that it'll probably come sometime in the future.

It surely won't come before Windows 10 is final and released. In contrast to the technical preview we currently get of Windows 10, developer preview always was the final code which also is delivered the OEMs. Too big is the danger of breaking people's phones with unfinished software.

It certainly won't come in sooner than the final version of windows 10 is announced, which should happen at BUILD next year, so end April. However, as rumors say windows 10 will be publicly available on phones by August-September time frame, the dev preview might not come sooner than say July. I know, long wait.

Windows Phone 10 is farther behind in development than Windows 10 so I don't expect to see it released until Q1 of 2016. I'm sure they'll show off phones at CES 2016 with a final release of April 2016. We're supposed to get a Developer Preview version of Windows Phone 10 at Build 2015 so there is that...

And your source for this hypothesis? I think we'll see something much sooner.... Microsoft is having the press event on January 21 rumored to show the consumer and mobile SKUs....

If I remember correctly, Mary Jo Foley and other said the DP for the phones is planned for early 2015, whatever that means.

Seems legit, if you consider that they will most probably announce the mobile version of Windows 10 at the event on January 21st, and that they should release all versions of the OS around the same time (fall 2015) since it's supposed to be "one OS".
