does Microsoft band only works on the web ?

well i got my Microsoft band and downloaded the health app too. i am using ipod touch. the problem is the health app only shows data if i use wifi otherwise its not showing data. telling me to connect to the net ?
is there anyway to disable it ?
when ever i open the health app it keeps on telling me to sign in ?

The data is stored in the cloud. Not sure how much is locally stored.

In you case, the only thing to do, other than use it while on wifi, is to connect the iPod touch to a cell phone via BT, then use the data on the cell phone. Clearly, its easier to just put the health app on a smartphone.

Fitbit definitely has to be connected to the internet to do anything.
