Does Mobile Hotspot (Tethering) works for unlocked 950XL on Tmobile?

I was told by the Tmobile Rep that Mobile Hotspot (Tethering) works for unlocked 950XL might not work with Tmobile? Anyone know about this issue? Thanks.
