Does Nokia honour warranty without receipt?

Planning on buying a used Nokia 920...in Canada they have an IMEI lookup to see if it's still in warranty...does anyone know if I have to provide a receipt to get the warranty or will they just base warranty on the IMEI?

I have never needed the receipt for any mobile phone warranty service. I would doubt if Nokia did things differently.

I sent mine off for repair without a receipt, Nokia do it via the imei number

I first emailed support about my ffc dust issue and in the reply they told me to include the receipt and they directed me to the automated warranty tool they have. After filling everything out and reading the .pdf with the instructions it never mentioned including a receipt. I did anyways to be safe but it would seem as long as their IMEI tool gives you the green light you should be fine with or without a receipt.
