Does Portico fixed your overheating problem ?

How do you define over heating problem? Does my phone sometimes get warm after playing a game? Or is there some kind of burning your leg problem?

Dont have overheating problem on pre-portico 8X.

Have had 2 resets in a month, 1 directly after turning on Skype.

Mine gets hot during games but has never frozen nor rebooted. Even those badly coded Zynga games couldn't. I guess I have a normal phone. I would get replacement for those phones that freeze and reboot often.

my phone went from 34% to 9% in 20 minutes while not being used. picked it up and it was HOT. put my phone in my pocket the other day, I could feel the heat on my leg. so it hasn't been fixed for me.

sounds like you have a defective WiFi or 4g chip. I had a similar problem on my LG Optimus 3d. I would call your phone company and get your device replaced. It will only get worse and you'll probably start to miss the odd call or text message without even knowing it.

Where's My Water makes mine damn hit and rebooted a few times automatically. Still waiting for Portico

Mine gets hot during some games ("Where's My Water", I'm looking at you), but other than that, I haven't had a single issue with mine overheating.

A lot of games make my phone hot/warm, depending on how CPU intense they are I guess.

Actually some apps make it somewhat hot, for example Board Express.

No, it didn't stop my HTC 8x from dying a sudden death some weeks after updating to Portico. However, my replacement has been fairing much better and I have not seen the dreaded red/green flashing lights once yet.
