Does running Denim firmware buy me anything?

Now running Denim

Just noticed that my 635 is running the Denim firmware. Does this buy me anything ?

Seems like most people don't read anything here. I've seen here so many "I have Denim.." threads and comments

Ha ha I knew I wasn't seeing things. Last week I had Lumia denim and clicked on the words (to link up to the Nokia site) to find out what's new and got "Welcome to Cyan" ha has little confused untill I checked for updates (Win preview for devs) got the update now its back to Cyan.
Hopes raised a little sad but sure it will come to us shortly.

if you are not on the Preview for Developers, you will see the additional goodies found in Windows Phone 8.1 Update which accompanies it.

I heard going back later switches it back to the correct Lumia Cyan.
So there's that.

CYAN is a FIRMWARE, and is INDEPENDENT from Windows Phone itself.

I have a Lumia 920 with Windows Phone 8.1 Update, with Lumia Cyan firmware. folders? yup.
I have a friend with an Icon with WP 8.1 Update with Lumia Black firmware. folders? check.

Those BLU phones that just got 8.1 Update? They obviously don't have Lumia firmware, but boom! Folders!

The version of Windows Phone is what matters, the firmware, not as much.

Live folders is opt in the upcoming gdr update.
You can get it sooner with the developers preview.

Cyan = Nokia firmware the nuts and bolts of the phone

Windows / Windows for devs = software ie camera, messenger and apps

Windowsa for devs don't give you anything new firmware wise it just gives you early access to various softwares and operating system apps like Cortana

ok, let's revise the question again. I have the developer preview, I can make folders. What will Denim add when we get it ?

Lumia 930 owners have cyan with GDR1... So they (me included) can make live folders...

Microsoft now rolling out Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 for Lumia 930 | Windows Central

To be clear, this is still the Lumia Cyan update, and it is not Lumia Denim.
