Does the GDR1 update improve the Live Lock Screen app performance?

I tried the beta live lock screen app, I was impressed by the dynamics and creative customization possibilities it created but I was put off by its performance (I have the L1520). It was a little sluggish. I liked the white theme on WP and the app had this thing where after unlocking the screen it would briefly flash a black screen. Not exactly a deal breaker but it was unsettling all the same, I like to keep a consistent experience theme-wise.. I'm hoping the new update maybe optimised its performance. Can anyone who has been using it the past day with the update tell me what their experience is like?

Do you think if its related to OS? I disagree, the app is in BETA and we should expect such things. They need to work on the app and optimize it in a way so that it interacts well with the OS processes. You'll feel the difference once it comes out of the BETA.

I understand BETA which is why I opted to wait for an official release. I heard the Lock screen app suffers from the limited API restrictions allowed by the OS. Given its buggy start I assumed it would benefit from an OS refresh that maybe integrates it into the core much like the Xbox Music app. The Xbox music app developer blamed its problems on the decision by Microsoft to make it a standalone app not tied down to the OS which makes sense for constant upgrades independent from the OS but you know the Xbox music stories so you understand the downside. I don't think its far-fetched to assume its the same with the lock screen app

Its same n it'll b same until app is update with bugs fixed. Os has nothing to do with it.

Issues like Blank Screen, Resuming, Loading demonstrates that the app is not optimized well to work with the OS. Those bugs/performance issues are nowhere related to missing APIs. They had mentioned it in terms of providing more features where they can use the OS ability to add more possible features. Case of XBM is different here, they have all possible OS access to make their app as an exclusive WP music app, but they need to work on their app at first place. Blaming MS' decision of detaching it with OS is not valid. Take examples of other Music apps avialable on Store and they are so good when it comes to the fluidity(Resuming, Loading etc).

I'm avoiding the arguments about expectations and just answering the OP question:

I don't see any difference in live lock screen performance after installing the update on my L920. It's still laggy enough to be noticeable, not quite slow enough for me to uninstall. YMMV

I had this piece of crap installed in my 1520 and I need to uninstall it because it made my phone so bad with the performance that I have to reset it. I will never install this beta again unless Microsoft fix this app with the performance issue.
