Does Turn-by-turn navigation work on the Nokia 520?

I read in an Amazon review that the Nokia 520 doesn't have a built in compass, and as such the turn-by-turn navigation won't work. Can some that owns the 520 confirm if this is true or not? Thanks.

They were right about the lack of compass. But, they were wrong about turn-by-turn: The phone has GPS which is used for turn by turn...the compass has nothing to do with it.

Works fine on my 520...really well, actually.

When I had a 521 (same phone, just for T-Mobile) I used the Nav for a 225 mile road trip... Each way.

Yes it performed flawlessly.

Here Maps is the best, especially since it navigates off line if your map area is downloaded before hand.

​And it does orient the screen for direction you are traveling in.

The here drive and the Nokia GPS are imo one of the best mobile navi sets you will find on the mobile market.
The only flaw is that you cant choose for a truck or bus....i mean real trucks and busses.
