Does turning on "quiet hours" silence alarms?

I have "quiet hours" turned on from 10p-7am, 7 days a week, since I don't want Facebook or SMS notifications going off in the middle of the night.

I noticed this morning that my 5:45am alarm didn't work, even though I had it turned on. Did "Quiet Hours" being turned on silence the alarm?

Luckily I woke up on time, but I depend on my alarms on my phone to wake me up. At the same time, I don't want Facebook notifications or SMS messages to wake me up when I don't want to be woken up--

NO, but it can happen to some 3rd party alarm apps.

It doesn't but I set quiet hours to turn off before my alarm just in case.

I turned on quiet hours on my 950 and the alarm did not sound. Seems like a bug to me. I'm using the standard alarm app.
