does windows 10 transfer your created short cut from Windows 7 ..

when I do upgrade to window 10... does it transfer the shortcuts of programs I created on Windows 7 to the desktop on Windows 10... that is important to me.. I prefer not to make new shortcuts..

No, your desktop is not kept

Pretty sure mine and my wife's shortcuts were preserved. If you're worried you can make a new folder in your documents folder, move all your shortcuts there, upgrade and then put them back...
