Domain user does not have local administrative access

[Windows Central Question]

I have added a system to the domain group and logged in with the domain user (who is part of domain admins)
It gets listed in local administrators as well. But when I tried to execute any command that requires administrative privilege, it fails with the exception.

Local Group Memberships *Administrators *DnsAdmins
Global Group memberships *Domain Admins *Domain Users
The command completed successfully.

Any help is appreciated.

Try this:

Open gpedit.msc > browse to Computer Configuration-Windows Settings-Security Settings -Local Policies-Security Options > enable “User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator account” > restart
