Don't you think Microsoft should focus more on getting "essential" apps in windows store?

We are very close to final version of windows mobile 10 but still there are many major apps which are missing from windows store. Not only this but many apps which are available in windows store are nothing compared to their respective android apps. I personally think that only windows mobile 10 will not bring Microsoft back in the game. They have to tackle this "App Gap" in order to be a substitute of android.

Microsoft has no control over whether a developer wishes to make an app or not. They can ask. They can even bribe but that doesn't mean Windows will get the apps.

So concentrating on 'essential' apps (whatever those are) is pointless.

As for W10 being a 'final' version. No such thing exists. W10M is already released since L950/XL. Updates will continue to happen.

MS has teams that try to get developers to develop apps for WP. It's already being done, just not successfully.

they should at least try to give the top 10 app developers on ios (since islandwood is available) some kind of incentive for porting over. The app situation needs to get better
