Doubt regarding Nokia Camera app

I have a doubt regarding Nokia Camera app. I have a lumia 630 DS which has a 5MP camera. I have noticed that the picture it takes is only 4MP most of the time. I have tried capturing by keeping everything in auto mode,and manual mode. But no luck. Can someone enlighten me on this subject and what am i doing wrong and why is it capturing only 4MP photos most often?

Your aspect ratio is 16:9 i guess. 16:9 is something like a cropped version of a 4:3 photo because some people like the way it fits onto your laptop or phone screen (most are 16:9). Mess around in the settings and change it into 4:3 and see if its still 4MP? Personally, I like leaving it in 4:3 because I can get a 16:9 by cropping the same photo. Mess with them and see which one you like?
