Downgrade to 8.1

I am so used to tap to wake that I could really use the phone without that function. But the issue is now fixed, as you can read in my previous posts in this thread.

I, as well as MANY others, have the same problem as AntZoo but Microsoft and Nokia appear to not give a crap! Uninstall apps? Why in the world did the update add all these wonderful apps if you have to disable everything to get the battery to last more than a few hours? I charged mine all day yesterday and took it into the bedroom last night. Woke up this morning to a dead battery! Before the update, the battery would last almost two days if I didn't use it hard. THIS IS NUTS! BACK TO ANDROID AS SOON AS I CAN!

You should read the advice more carefully, tjnamtiw. I didn't disable any apps, I have a full wp8.1.1 experience and still managed to get a good battery life after the disaster I wrote about in the main post. My battery drains at a rate of about 8% per night, ~6-7 hours
