Downgrade windows 10 TP to windows 8.1

Hi,

Can anyone tell how I can downgrade (or find information) from windows 10 technical preview to windows 8.1 on a surface pro device?

My machine created a backup of Win 8.1 and when I switch on my computer I have two option - "Windows 10" or "Rollback"

If you don't have this or you didn't create a full system image before upgrading then you're out of luck.

I created an image of my laptop as a backup and whatnot, so I can revert easily if I so choose.

If you don't have any backup solution in place, you'll have to reset the Surface (from recovery) and start fresh.

If you did a "clean" install of 10TP you'll not see the "Rollback" option at startup.
In which case, you might need to download a recovery ISO from Microsoft and get the Surface to boot from it once copied to a bootable USB (and, if my recent experiences are anything to go by, that's a chore).
