downloading apps on windows 10 mobile store stuck on "starting download"

Matthew

I have a problem when installing yahoo mail on windows 10 mobile. I install it through the store, it just says "starting download" for hours. I tried soft-resetting but it doesn't work. At one point it says "you owned this app and you can install it on your phone" but when i click install it just says "starting download" all over again. Can someone help me?

It happens sometimes, I have 7 apps on the download list that refuse to update /install but fortunately its nothing important to me.... Anyway, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do beside perform hard reset...

Try this out in this order:
1) Turn off wifi.
2) Turn off cellular data.
3) Turn on airplane mode.
4) Power off your phone (not a hard reset)
5) Turn it back on. (DUH)
6) Go back to the store and Downloads and Updates.
7) The apps that were showing "Starting download" should be there, but missing names and icons BUT you'll see the retry and cancel buttons appear again. AWWW YISSSS

Hope that helps!
