DP now irrelevant after getting Cyan?

Yesterday got my phone having DP updated with Cyan. Now my question is whether DP program now irrelevant and can be removed from the phone?

Depends if you want to receive future updates early or not, ie. Update 1, Update 2, Windows Phone 9...
