My mom has a Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 tablet with Windows 7. I tried upgrading it to Windows 8 when it was first launched, but there were a lot of issues with the display drivers as well as the touch screen. Apparently, Intel decided not to provide officially supported Windows 8 drivers for this embedded graphics processor. The tablet was somewhat useable, but had issues loading many of the modern apps and the touch screen seldomly responded to a smooth swipe gesture (often indicated many separate touches in a row).

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to install the Windows 10 technical preview on one of these older tablets, and whether the drivers function any better than they did with Windows 8. According to this article http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/how-windows-10-upgrades-might-work, the free upgrade to Windows 10 could possibly be offered through Windows Update.

Windows 7 isn't all that tablet-friendly, so I think Windows 8 or 10 would ideally be easier to use, but I was just wondering if anyone knew if Windows 10 actually functions better on this type of tablet versus the Windows 8 performance.
