I dropped my 928 today. Fell from waist level straight onto some rough concrete. It held up very well, but there are some minor 'rough' scratches/damage on the top right corner. It's not that bad at all, but I was wondering if there was some type of product or material (like a special sandpaper) that can be used to just gently smooth out the damage without exacerbating things.

I guess I could get a case, but I love the look of this phone and don't want to cover it up (plus, none of the cases so far are very appealing)

Some people have had luck with really fine grain sandpaper, I'd just wait til the shells hit the aftermarket.

Yeah - either fine grain sandpaper, or a fine file to take off the edges, but I agree with z33 - put a case on it. The $15 I spent at Verizon (25% off discount) for the blue case has already saved me aggravation and probably money.

I have dropped mine twice and both times it landed face down! No damage so far I am waiting for some better cases to come out but for now I have the stock verizon screen covers.
