Dropped my phone in water, seems fine if just for wifi

So after dropping my phone in water I had it sit overnight in rice. Everything is working, except my phone wont connect to the wifi.
the tower shows a "?" by it and when I go to check I see a bunch of saved networks that the phone attempts to connect to but is unable to..

Sadly I don't have a screw small enough to check if that water damage thing is all red or stayed white..

Water damage is a highly variable beast. It can rapidly kill a device or not exhibit symptoms until later.

Needless to say, water has damaged something and whether it will resume working or something else is about to break is anyone's guess. Also I don't think overnight is long enough but that's just me.

Agree. Keep that sucker fully submerged in rice for at least 72 hours to be safe.
