Duplicate SMS

I seem to have duplicated SMS messages for past conversations. How can these be removed?

I moved to a Lumia 950 from a 925 and restored from a Backup and it was all good then a few days later duplicates started to show, some even have triple!

that's a bug when they were changing things in the message backup service. Aside from removing one at a time, I doubt there's another way

It's bloody annoying when i scroll through older messages. They really should be fixing stuff like this as it's unacceptable. Did not have the issue on WP8.1

There was no iussue in 10 too; there was a central server backup stop iussue from march to may, and now messages are all massively back to phones.
That's the result.

Messages are stored in phone now, only way to remove duplicate IMHO could be an hard reset.

Maybe someone tried it and found messages restored normally

Or wait next app and o.s. update

I'm also missing SMS from March to May this year. So your saying these will also come back?

A hard reset and no restore from backup does nothing FYI as that's what I did and still had duplicate.
I just want my missing text messages and the removal of duplicates! God dam MS can't leave stuff that works alone!

I hope I'm not out of line bumping an old thread but I just did a hard reset after upgrading my Icon to Windows 10 and I'm seeing the same thing... every sent and received text appears twice. Anything new on fixing this issue?
