Easy way to WP8.1 dev preview

Only for W1-U00. It's easy to find v5310 ROM, for example, this Russian one: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B7skmvAgEg6kcFAtd3ZqU0hfM28/edit
and then flash it by using the tutorial:

C00 is still under test, need older ROM than v5410

EDIT: Just installed 8.1, so I guess this works. It's a Russian ROM but it has US English.

According to the thread on the MS forums, they disabled the update for Ascend W1 devices.

Yup mine says the same thing. Someone posted above that apparently MS disabled the update for our device. Perhaps it'll be enabled again later on. Until then I'm fine with just running GDR3.

Bummer, I bought 2 of this phones to use as a DEV hardware

Oh, and the 8.1 update is available for Huawei W1.

For those with their Huawei W1 battery stuck at 50% while showing green light, flash the Russian ROM and install the US ROM. You should still be able to update to 8.1
